What skills and experience we're looking for
The Trust and Governors are seeking a visionary and faith-filled leader to guide our vibrant school community. Located in the historic city of York, St George’s is a place where every child is "loved, cherished, and challenged." We are looking for a Headteacher who can build on our strong foundations while driving excellence in every classroom.
You will provide the day-to-day leadership necessary to build on our successes and ensure every child receives a high-quality education rooted in Gospel values. As the ambassador for our school, you will be the first point of contact for stakeholders, raising our profile within the historic city of York and the wider community.
The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic leader who can marry spiritual guidance with academic rigor. We are looking for:

• Pedagogical Excellence: A track record of demonstrating and demanding the highest standards of teaching and learning.
