Are you an enthusiastic and experienced SEN HLTA looking to make a real difference every day? We're on the lookout for passionate professionals to support learners across a range of specialist and mainstream SEND settings in Northampton. If you're driven, compassionate, and ready to help pupils thrive, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading whole‑class and small‑group learning in the teacher's absence, using pre‑planned, SEN‑friendly materials
* Providing high‑quality 1:1 support for pupils with diverse needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, Speech & Language, and more)
* Helping shape differentiated lessons and creating inclusive, engaging learning resources
* Using specialist strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and positive behaviour
* Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans
* Creating a calm, nurturing and structured environment where every pupil can succeed
We're Looking For
* HLTA status or equivalent qualification
* Strong SEN experience-school, specialist provision, or care backgrounds all welcome
* Solid understanding of SEND strategies and behaviour support approaches
* Excellent communication skills, patience, resilience, and a caring mindset
* Confidence working across a mix of needs, ages, and classroom environments
