Pinetrees Cattery is a well established, caring, and reputable cattery dedicated to providing a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for cats while their owners are away. We pride ourselves on high standards of welfare, cleanliness, and customer service — and we’re looking for someone who shares that passion.
The Role
We’re seeking a reliable, compassionate Cattery Assistant to join our small, friendly team. This is a hands on role that involves daily care of cats, maintaining a clean environment, and supporting the smooth running of the cattery.
Key Responsibilities
• Feeding cats according to individual dietary needs
• Cleaning pens, bedding, litter trays, and communal areas
• Monitoring cat health and behaviour, reporting any concerns
• Administering basic medications (training provided)
• Providing enrichment, comfort, and gentle interaction with cats
• Assisting with customer drop offs and collections
• General housekeeping duties around the cattery
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you:
• Have a genuine love for cats and confidence handling them
• Are reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Don’t mind physical work and getting your hands dirty
• Have good attention to detail and high hygiene standards
• Are comfortable communicating with customers
• Have previous animal care experience (preferred but not essential)
Hours & Pay
• Flexible shifts including weekends and bank holidays
• Competitive hourly rate depending on experience
• Training provided
• Seasonal placement with opportunities for additional hours during busy periods, and possibility to extend season based on how busy we are.
