We're looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Vending Operator to join our team in JCB Uttoxeter , United Kingdom. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our vending machine network, ensuring optimal stock levels, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance. You will work independently in the field, managing multiple routes and ensuring all machines operate smoothly and generate revenue.
- Stock vending machines with products according to demand forecasts and customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain optimal stock across all assigned machines
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on vending equipment to minimize downtime
- Collect payments, reconcile cash, and process financial transactions accurately
- Maintain detailed records of inventory, sales, and machine performance using company systems
- Ensure all machines comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Plan and optimize daily routes to maximize efficiency and minimize travel time
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve service issues professionally
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in vending operations, field service, or similar operational role
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple routes
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic financial reconciliation
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
- Ability to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Physical ability to lift and carry products regularly
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and reporting software
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Preferred: Previous experience in food service, retail, or customer-facing roles
- Preferred: Knowledge of inventory management systems or route optimization software
