We’re excited to be opening a brand-new Extra Care scheme in Lancaster, and we’re looking for an Extra Care Coordinator who wants to play an important part in getting everything ready for launch. This is a great opportunity to join at the very beginning and make a real impact on the future of the service. What you’ll be doing As an Extra Care Coordinator, you will provide high-quality housing management and wellbeing support to tenants within our Extra Care schemes.Your day-to-day work will include: Keeping in regular contact with tenants to ensure their wellbeingSignposting and supporting access to external advice, support and advocacyBeing a reassuring point of contact in emergencies during working hoursSupporting positive relationships between tenants, families, agencies and the schemeCarrying out health & safety checks, scheme inspections and compliance tasksResponding to low-level ASB and helping resolve tenant concernsSupporting scheme activities and promoting independence What you’ll do before the scheme opens in May While the scheme is being finalised, you will: Complete a full induction and training periodLiaise with local partners to plan onsite activities and community engagementMeet with potential applicants and support them through housing applicationsAssist another Independent Living scheme if needed (e.g., for cover)Work closely with the Extra Care Manager to prepare the scheme for launch Your main base will be Lancaster, with occasional travel to other schemes or sites as required. Mileage is fully reimbursed in line with our policy. What We Are Looking For You don’t need a care background - we welcome people from a range of sectors, including retail, customer service, housing and community roles. If you have strong people skills and want to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
