Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (PO5) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within the construction industry, demonstrating expertise in cost management, contract negotiation, and strategic planning. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence the financial performance of our high-profile projects by leveraging your extensive knowledge of quantity surveying principles and practices. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing project costs from inception to completion, ensuring that financial controls are maintained and that projects are delivered within budget. Your leadership skills will be essential as you mentor junior team members and liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for various construction projects.
Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects based on cost.
Manage contracts and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Negotiate terms and conditions with contractors and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress and expenditures to identify potential cost overruns.
Provide financial advice and support to project managers and stakeholders.
Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and cash flow analyses to senior management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and project management processes.
Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools such as CostX or similar.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise with clients and suppliers.
Professional membership or accreditation such as RICS is preferred.

End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £29.79
