Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm, 7:30am – 2:00pm Early Finish Friday (40-hour week with occasional weekend work)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Trainee/Junior Testing Engineer to join our growing team at our Nailsworth site. This role offers exceptional training and development opportunities within a company that serves the aviation sector with specialist engineering solutions.
This position is ideal for both mechanically and electrically biased candidates at various experience levels who are eager to develop their skills in a supportive, technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out vehicle testing and repair on specialist equipment
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and engines
• Support the service and after-sales team as required
• Visit customer sites for on-site testing, installation, and calibration
• Collaborate effectively within a small, skilled engineering team
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control

Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
• Mechanical or electrical engineering background
• Hands-on practical experience
• Strong interest in technical systems and problem-solving
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites

Highly Advantageous:
• Experience working with engines
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Understanding of specialist vehicle systems

Pay & Incentives:
• Hourly rate: £12.98 - £18.00 (dependent on experience)

Working Arrangements
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm, 7:30am – 2:00pm Early Finish Friday (40 Hours) with overtime available
• Flexibility: Occasional weekend work may be required
• Location: Primarily based at Nailsworth site with occasional travel to customer locations for installation, testing, and calibration work
