Due to continued investment in our Oncology services, we are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our team. This role will be pivotal in supporting the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred care across our 5 Oncology Day Units and in partnership with our Consultant Oncologists. and MDT's

the postholder will be working at Master’s level across the four pillars of advanced practice, the post holder will contribute to:
• Expert clinical practice in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of oncology patients
• Leadership within the oncology/SACT speciality, influencing service development, reducing variations across the Day units and strategic planning
• Education and training, supporting colleagues across the teams
• Quality improvement and research, driving innovation and supporting delivery of the NHS Cancer Plan & the Non Surgical Oncology agenda.

The ACP will work collaboratively with Oncology, Haematology, Cancer Clinical/MDT teams, and the Senior Business Unit team to support the delivery of the non‑surgical oncology agenda and ensure safe, effective pathways for patients receiving SACT and acute oncology

The successful candidate will have:
• Advanced knowledge and experience in Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy (SACT)
• Demonstrable expertise in Acute Oncology management
• Strong autonomous clinical assessment and decision‑making skills for managing this complex patient group
• Work within the multidisciplinary teams and contributing to service development
• Proven leadership within the oncology speciality, with a track record of driving improvements in patient care and service delivery
• Skilled in quality improvement, audit and research within the oncology speciality.

• Use advanced knowledge and skills in to undertake comprehensive clinical assessments, make decisions based on clinical reasoning and initiate, evaluate and modify a range of interventions
• Provide professional senior clinical leadership and support within the specialty multi professional team and across service boundaries
• Support the wider team to build capacity and capability through work-based and interprofessional learning, and the application of learning to practice.Act as a role model, educator, supervisor, coach and mentor
• Lead clinical audits and critically engage in research activity using the results to underpin own practice, inform the practice of others and make organisational recommendations
