Role Overview:
As a Nursing Home Commissioner, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing, evaluating, and commissioning care services that meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will work closely with care providers, local authorities, and healthcare professionals to ensure that our residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Commission and monitor nursing home services to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Develop, review, and implement care strategies that improve outcomes for residents.
Conduct inspections, audits, and performance assessments of care providers.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including local authorities, NHS services, and community organizations.
Provide guidance and support to care providers on best practices and service improvements.
Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management and governance boards.
Requirements:
Proven experience in care commissioning, health and social care management, or a related field.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks for nursing homes (CQC regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
