Lead Sonographer for Women’s Health – Band 8A

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, dynamic Sonography leader who is ready to clinically lead our obstetric ultrasound team and provide a high level of technical expertise across a comprehensive range of examinations. You will be an experienced specialist diagnostic sonographer and have the drive to supervise, train and lead the highly skilled team of sonographers, trainee sonographers, clinical fellows and midwives.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with proven experience in working within obstetric ultrasound.It is essential that you bring a flexible and adaptable approach to meet with the challenge of this role, supporting the multi-professional team in personalising care, enhancing quality and improving the patient experience. As a Lead Sonographer you will review, influence and lead the development and implementation of policies and audits, organise learning and teaching of the multi-disciplinary team and ensure the key performance indicators are achieved and reported to NHS England.
