About FVF Ltd

We deliver structural steelwork and associated site services to a high standard, supporting commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects nationwide. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Driver to join our team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of:
• Structural steelwork
• Fabricated components
• Site machinery and plant equipment
• Tools and associated materials
You will be travelling throughout the UK, collecting from suppliers and delivering to active construction sites, ensuring all loads are transported securely and in full compliance with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely load, secure, transport, and offload steelwork and plant equipment
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate defect reporting
• Ensure loads are correctly restrained in line with DVSA regulations
• Liaise professionally with site managers, suppliers, and the FVF site team
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and transport documentation
• Adhere strictly to Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Represent FVF Ltd in a professional manner on all sites and at all depots
Essential Requirements
• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification & Digital Tachograph Card
• Experience transporting steel, plant, or heavy loads
• Good understanding of load security and transport compliance
• Flexible with working hours and occasional overnight stays
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude
Desirable
• Hiab / Lorry Loader Certification
• Experience working within construction or steel industries
• Plant transport experience
