This is a short-term, on-site role supporting children and young people aged 5–16 during structured activity sessions. The programme includes creative, STEM-based, sensory and wellbeing-focused activities in a safe and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities include:
• Supporting children to engage positively in group activities
• Assisting with behaviour management in a calm and professional manner
• Supporting children with additional needs (SEND) where required
• Helping with set-up, supervision, and pack-down of activities
• Maintaining safeguarding and safety standards at all times
The ideal candidate will:
• Be patient, energetic and confident working with children
• Have good communication skills
• Remain calm under pressure
• Be willing to complete safeguarding and SEND awareness training
• Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check
Experience working with children, youth groups, schools or care settings is desirable but not essential for the right candidate with the appropriate attitude and values.
