We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commissioning Project Manager to join our team in the Primary/Secondary Education industry. This role is integral to ensuring that all new educational facilities meet the highest standards of quality and functionality before they open their doors to students and staff. The Commissioning Project Manager will oversee the design, construction, and commissioning processes, collaborating closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and educational stakeholders to develop spaces that enhance learning and foster a safe, engaging environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, with a proven track record in overseeing commissioning processes in educational settings or related fields. This position requires exceptional communication skills, as you will be responsible for coordinating multifaceted project elements and addressing any potential issues that may arise during the commissioning phase. As champion for quality assurance, you will ensure that all systems are operational, compliant with regulations, and align with the strategic objectives of the educational institution. Responsibilities
Lead the commissioning process for new educational facilities from design through occupancy.
Develop and implement commissioning plans that outline project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and educational stakeholders to ensure design intent is met.
Conduct thorough inspections and testing of systems, equipment, and finishes to ensure compliance with specifications.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of commissioning activities and outcomes.
Facilitate training sessions for facility staff on building systems and operations post-commissioning.
Identify and manage risks throughout the commissioning process, proposing solutions to minimize impact.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning, project management, or related roles in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of building systems, operations, and maintenance protocols.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
Proficient in relevant software tools for project management and documentation.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to education facilities.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Day: £317.86
