Job Title: QTS Tutor (Stockport)
Location: Stockport
Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate)
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week
Start Date: March 2026
We are seeking a QTS Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition for students in Stockport. As a QTS tutor, you will deliver tailored lessons in core subjects like Maths and English to help students improve their academic skills and boost confidence in preparation for exams.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-to-one GCSE English and Maths tuition, tailored to meet individual learning needs.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to support student progress.
Assist students with study skills, revision strategies, and exam preparation.
Build positive, trusting relationships with students to create a supportive learning environment.
Provide regular feedback to parents/carers and professionals to track student progress.
Essential Requirements:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring English or Maths, ideally at GCSE level.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience teaching both English and Maths at GCSE level.
Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or additional learning needs.
