Our Client, an established and reputable automotive accident repair centre based in Weston-super-Mare, is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Controller with Vehicle Damage Assessment (VDA) duties to enhance their dynamic team. Duties:

- Perform detailed vehicle damage estimates (VDA duties) in accordance with manufacturer, insurer, and customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare manual and computerised estimates using systems such as Audatex, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, verifying authorisation before work begins and following up on unauthorised or outstanding approvals.
- Liaise with bodyshop personnel and assessors to communicate the scope of repairs clearly, ensuring understanding and coordination.
- Oversee the day-to-day workshop activities, including allocating tasks to technicians, managing KPIs, monitoring work progress, and conducting quality checks at different repair stages.
- Help manage total loss assessments, facilitating damage evaluation decisions.
- Ensure all operations comply with relevant Health & Safety regulations and policies.
- Support the continuous improvement of repair processes, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in vehicle damage estimating, ideally with knowledge of systems such as Audatex.
- Strong background in vehicle repair processes, with supervisory or workshop control experience preferred.
- Audatex qualification or training highly desirable; candidates with extensive transferable experience will be considered.
- Relevant automotive accreditation such as ATA or manufacturer-approved training is advantageous but not essential, as our client is willing to provide training.
- A valid UK driving licence with minimal points is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
