What skills and experience we're looking for

At the Learning in Harmony Trust, we have an exciting opportunity for a School Operations Manager to work at Joseph Clarke School, in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

Joseph Clarke School is a centre of excellence for pupils with a vision impairment and/or other special needs. Situated in Waltham Forest, we are a small, inclusive and nurturing school welcoming pupils from across London and surrounding counties. We offer an exciting curriculum and are lucky enough to have our own onsite café, Louis Training Café, which is open to the public for tea, coffee and refreshments.

Our ideal candidate will be naturally organised, able to use their initiative but also know when it is best to work collaboratively. You may already have the advantage of knowing how to use the Google Drive and Google tools to best effect, however if you don’t, a key skill will be your ability to transfer your existing practice from other systems and to develop your knowledge of the applications that you will need to use in the role on a day to day basis.

The job description outlines the spheres of administrative and leadership responsibility that the School Operations Manager will have (general Office Administration, Premises and H&S administration, and a core role in ensuring that ‘front of house’ services are professional and meet the needs of all visitors and parents). The post holder will receive support and guidance from our central support teams in all aspects of the role. Together we will ensure that a highly organised administrative function focuses on the right areas at the right time, enabling the Joseph Clarke School’s senior leadership team to focus on delivering excellent education to our pupils.

The role will be full time, 52 weeks per year and 36 hours per week.
