What skills and experience we're looking for
We are delighted to be offering an opportunity to join Redby Academy as a Teaching Assistant in our newly opened Additional Resourced Provision (ARP) for children with Autism. The ARP will provide up to 16 places for children aged 4 to 11 with a verified diagnosis of Autism.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of pupils to help to shape and develop this new provision, supporting teaching and learning and offering nurture provision to enable all pupils to participate in school life. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support and assist in small group settings supporting the teacher both within the ARP and supporting pupils to access mainstream classes where possible.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successfully supporting children in a primary setting; upholding a nurturing ethos and engaging effectively with children to secure progress of the whole child.
What the school offers its staff
We can offer an amazing staff team to work with, a supportive leadership team both within the school and across the Trust, a commitment to your continued professional development and wonderful, friendly and enthusiastic children.
Commitment to safeguarding
Tyne Coast Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment and to undergo appropriate checks including an enhanced DBS with barred list check. In accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, an online search will be completed on all shortlisted applicants prior to interview. Any relevant information will be discussed further with the applicant during the interview process.
