Crynodeb
The main duties of the consultant are to provide psychiatry consultant leadership to the Primary Care Mental Health Team, and to support the Clinical Service Lead. Close liaison with primary care will be a key part of the role. You will need to work directly with GPs and will need to attend regular meetings with local practices to improve the primary / secondary care interface and enhance the ability of medical colleagues working in primary care (Lead consultant in neighbourhood to take on this role). You will be expected to provide consultant input for the Primary Care Mental Health team for two and a half days per week and the remainder of the week.. The post holder will be expected to provide clinical cover for other Lewisham borough consultants and vice versa. For further details please refer to attached JD.
