Crynodeb
We are looking for Specialty Doctor to provide high quality, effective, comprehensive, culturally-sensitive mental healthcare on Ruby Triage Ward, a male acute ward.
The post-holder will be responsible for the assessment and management of mental health problems on a routine and emergency basis. On average 8 Programmed Activities per week will be devoted to Direct Clinical Care. 1 PA will be dedicated to Continuing Professional Development which will include local and Barts Academic programmes. The post holder will have the option of dedicating 1 PA to a special interest clinic or quality improvement work subject to agreement in their job-plan.
General duties include but are not limited:
• Work within a multidisciplinary setting offering psychiatric medical input in the assessment, treatment and care management of patients.
• Provide up to date, effective, safe medical care for patients in order to ensure their recovery, and promote their insight with a view to relapse prevention.
• Address physical health concerns in liaison with primary care services.
• Offer advice and support to other members of the team in issues related to his/her competence and expertise.
• Work as a leading member of the multidisciplinary team, linking closely with statutory and non-statutory services in the area as required.
• Adhere to the Trust Clinical Leadership Model with senior clinicians’ delivery of care within the principle of holistic care
