Housekeeper – Aurora Hedgeway
Location: Pilning, Bristol, BS35 4JN
Hours: 17.5 hours per week
Actual Salary: £10,865.20 - £11,299.75 (£13.22 - £13.75 ph)
Contract: Permanent / Part-time / Term Time Only + 2 additional weeks
Closing Date: 15th March at Midnight
Aurora Hedgeway is a welcoming and specialist school for children and young people aged 7–19 with a diagnosis of Autism and related social and communication needs.
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Housekeeper to help maintain high standards of cleanliness across the school, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
The Role:You will support the housekeeping team with daily cleaning duties across classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal spaces. Tasks will include:
Vacuuming, mopping and dusting
Cleaning sinks, surfaces and touch points
Refilling supplies and emptying bins
Maintaining hygiene standards in toilet areas
Using cleaning equipment and products safely*Hours worked will either be before school opens or after 3.30pm, 3.5 hours per week, Monday -Friday*
Skills and Qualifications
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work
Can work independently or as part of a team
Understands (or is willing to learn) Health & Safety and COSHH
Is physically able to carry out manual handling tasks
Ideally has experience in a school or SEN environment (desirable, not essential)
