WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

The company provides on-site and back to base service support for opticians throughout the UK, including several nationwide chains. They are seeking to employ a Warehouse Operative with practical skills, on a full time, permanent basis, at its headquarters in Wokingham.

The role will include;

• Goods In and Goods Out processing.
• Stock control using company stock management System.
• PDI (Pre-delivery inspection) of equipment prior to dispatch.
• Building and setting up kit in readiness for on-site installation.
• Occasionally assisting with on-site installations

Skills & attributes required;

• Warehouse skills, understanding of Goods in and Goods Out processes, including utilisation of an integrated stock management system.
• Practical skills, with the ability to build and set up mechanical instrumentation following appropriate training.
• The ability to work independently to specific timescales.

The successful candidate will receive in-house training, as needed, and must be adaptable to a wide array of challenges. No specific qualifications are specified, but the applicant must have some warehousing experience, plus practical, hands-on skills and excellent attention to detail. The candidate must also hold a valid driving licence.
