We are seeking a skilled Plumber to deliver high-quality plumbing and building services engineering maintenance across client properties.​

This role involves fault finding, repairs, preventative and corrective maintenance, installation work, and ensuring all activities comply with relevant plumbing codes and manufacturer specifications.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can provide a world-class building services maintenance service while operating both independently and as part of a wider FM/engineering team.

This role covers multiple locations, and a full driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment.

Carry out repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting in line with plumbing codes, diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer guidance.

Repair cracked pipes, clear blockages, and work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and elevated equipment as required.

Observe systems in operation to detect faults, dismantle devices, and replace defective parts.

Inspect used components for specification compliance and recalibration needs.

Test and calibrate plumbing systems using appropriate tools and measuring instruments.

Maintain complex plumbing systems including washers, steam cleaning devices, compressors, hydraulic lifts, water and drainage systems, and sprinkler systems.

Conduct leak detection tests, solder/braze tubing and piping, and install or repair couplings, unions, joints, and plumbing fixtures in line with manufacturer requirements.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Level 2–3 Plumbing qualification.
Open to applications from apprenticeship finishers.

Previous building services experience preferred.

Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.

Ability to work independently and within a wider FM/engineering team.

Must hold a full driving licence and be able to cover:

South West Scotland
Kendal
Dumfries
Newcastle
Brampton / A69 corridor
