What we are looking for
We are looking for a caring, reliable Minibus Driver to transport our members living with dementia to and from our Friendship and Activity Groups across Manchester. • Shifts are typically 3.5 hours between 9am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
• Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Responsibilities
• Safely collecting members from their homes and returning them after sessions
• Providing a warm, supportive and respectful experience during each journey
• Ensuring high standards of health & safety at all times
• Building positive relationships with members from diverse backgrounds
• Checks of vehicles, fuelling and trips for maintenance
Person Specification
• Holds a full clean driving licence with D1 classification (essential)
• Has experience driving a minibus
• Can demonstrate excellent driving skills and road awareness
• Be a confident communicator with a patient, caring nature
• Ideally have experience as a carer or of working in the community
• Enjoys engaging with people and supporting those who may need extra reassurance
• Compassion. Reliability. A calm and friendly presence.
We need you
Your role will help reduce isolation and ensure our members can continue enjoying vital social activities in a safe and supportive environment. Mike said “This is a fabulous and rewarding work place where everybody is supported and here for the right reasons” If you’re someone who wants to drive with purpose and truly make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
