  • Rotating dayshift - Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm

Payrate:

Day Shift: £14.07 per hour

Contract type: Full time, perm (paid weekly in arrears)

About the role:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Recorder to join our end of line operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for stacking boxes and preparing pallets, operating and calibrating tape machines (training provided) as well as maintaining accurate records of production output.

Key responsibilities:

  • Referring to the pallet specification, build sound pallets of finished product in preparation next stage.

  • Operation and calibration of tape machines and minor repairs.

  • Complete all relevant paperwork and record details of all finished product generated by the shift.

  • Open and repackage rejected packed product. Ensure the good housekeeping of the packing floor area.

Essential Skills

  • Attention to detail – crucial for accurate record-keeping and ensuring pallets are built to specification.

  • Basic literacy and numeracy – to complete paperwork and understand production documentation.

  • Physical stamina – ability to lift, move, and stack products safely and efficiently (up to 10kg per box).

  • Teamwork and communication – working closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.

The role

Key accountabilities

• Referring to the pallet specification, build sound pallets of finished product enabling safe transport to the Warehouse for pallet wrapping. • Complete all relevant paperwork and record details of all finished product generated by the shift. • Open and repackage rejected packed product. Ensure the good housekeeping of the packing floor area.

Skills & experience

• Ability to evidence full right to work within the UK(student applicants must, be able to demonstrate this, as paid induction requires full 40 hours induction training) • Numerate, literate(written and oral communication) and the ability to work in a fast-paced people focused, team and or individual environments. • Understand and be comfortable working within a food manufacturing environment where hygiene principles are exceptionally important. (Training provided) • Experience in pallet building and being PC literate is desirable.
