Procurement Professional
The Role
We are seeking a disciplined Procurement Professional to join a world-leading engineering team. You will sit within the Engineering Supply Chain, working directly with engineers to ensure high-quality New Product Introduction (NPI) projects are delivered on time.

This is a fast-paced role focused on prototype procurement, supplier management, and ensuring a seamless flow of goods for research and development projects.

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire (100% On-site)

Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Pay Rate: Up to £18.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities
Requisition Management: Process purchase orders and manage the end-to-end sourcing process.

Project Support: Coordinate procurement activity for allocated R&D or capital projects to meet strict programme milestones.

Supplier Liaison: Research and assess prototype suppliers; resolve any payment or delivery issues.

Process Maintenance: Use MRP systems to perform cost/price analysis and ensure data accuracy.

Collaboration: Represent the procurement team in cross-functional meetings with engineering and supply chain partners.

Requirements
Experience: Proven background in a Purchasing or Supply Chain role is essential.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Analytical Ability: Skilled in root cause analysis and maintaining high accuracy in data-heavy environments.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a "customer-focused" approach to internal stakeholders.

Availability: Must be able to commit to a 7:00 am start and a 100% on-site work arrangement.

Preferred Qualifications
CIPS qualification (or working towards).

Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
