The Impact You'll Make

As a Security Officer, you are the frontline of airport safety. You are the calm presence, the professional authority and the reason passengers travel with confidence.

Your role will include:

-Controlling access to restricted areas

-Conducting staff ID and boarding card checks

-Preparing passengers, staff and crew for screening

-Carrying out physical searches in line with regulations

-Operating x-ray equipment for restricted area access

-Responding professionally to on-site incidents

-Escorting authorised personnel

-Conducting patrols across assigned areas

-Working in full compliance with Civil Aviation Authority regulations and Belfast City Airport procedures

-Completing aviation security training to CAA standards

-Maintaining and demonstrating competence through regular assessments

Full Training Provided

We invest in you from day one.

You'll complete 8-12 full days of structured training (weekdays), equipping you with the knowledge and certification required to operate to CAA and DfT standards.

Your pay increases to £13.25 per hour once training is successfully completed — because we recognise competence and commitment.

Shift Pattern

All colleagues must be able to work within the following operational windows on a rotational basis:

-04:30 - 13:30

-13:30 - 22:00

(These are operational windows and not guaranteed contracted hours.)

What You'll Bring

We're looking for confident, professional individuals who take pride in their appearance and their work.

You'll need:

-A smart, professional presentation

-Strong verbal and written communication skills

-The ability to work independently and as part of a team

-Basic IT skills to operate screening equipment

-The ability to achieve and maintain Level 1 DfT standard

-Confidence communicating with colleagues, passengers and external agencies

-A 5-year checkable history

-UK residency for the last 3 years

-To pass a colour vision test
