Summary
Ideal candidates will bring the skills needed to help create a nurturing and structured environment where young people who have experienced trauma can develop emotionally, socially, and educationally.
We are looking for individuals who:
Remain calm under pressure and respond confidently to challenging behaviour.
Communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.
Hold, or are working towards, a Level 2 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (desirable).
Are available for full‑time hours.
Bring previous experience or transferable skills
Hold a driving licence (advantageous but not essential)
This role is well suited to someone who is committed to developing their skills and reflective capacity, and is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a young person’s life.
Duties include:
Support with routines such as preparing meals, promoting healthy activities, attending appointments.
Safeguarding the wellbeing our young people.
Promoting positive outcomes by ensuring care plans are adhered to.
Encourage independence and life‑skills development.
Maintaining cleaning standards within the home by carrying out daily tasks.
Ensuring daily reports are accurately completed.
Assess and respond to risks, recording concerns accurately.
Implement behaviour support plans and de‑escalation strategies.
Work as part of a team, modelling professional boundaries and consistent child centred practice.
Multi-agency working with social workers, schools, health professionals, and families.
