MUST HAVE NURSERY OR SCHOOL EXPERIENCE*
Sunrise Community Nursery is seeking a highly motivated Admin Assistant to join our team . The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have a passion for working with children and families.
The candidate:
Excellent people skills, with confident front‑of‑house experience and the ability to create a welcoming, professional first impression.
Demonstrates strong motivation for personal and professional development, with a clear desire to gain practical experience and build a long‑term career.
Responsibilities:
Answer phones, greet clients, and schedule appointments
Be our Front of house and confidently greet parents
Deal with emails and pass on to the relevant Manager
Ensure that children and staff details are upto date and filed/shared as necessary
Entering data onto various online platforms.
Basics by tidying up all folders, folders throughout the office, etc.
Keep the office running smoothly and efficiently by following procedures, following policies, and keeping an organized system for the office to function.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Basic HR duties such as applying for references, DBS checks, scanning documents etc.
Assisting regular newsletters and other communications to parents and staff.
Attending meetings, preparing agendas, taking and distributing minutes.
Absence and register monitoring ensuring daily checks are followed through.
Create and assist staff with administrative tasks when required e.g. creating placemats and pegs.
Skills required
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Must be able to communicate well with people of all ages and in different situations. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to follow policies and procedures. Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow policies and procedures on the phone or in person
