We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Community OT Team and help shape a high-quality, person-centred service for adults across our local area.
In this key leadership role, you’ll use your advanced clinical expertise to support people to live safely, independently, and meaningfully within their homes and communities. You will take the lead on complex functional assessments, specialist manual handling, and seating and positioning interventions—ensuring effective, creative, and safe solutions for individuals with varied physical and cognitive needs.
You’ll play an important role in prevention and early intervention, helping adults avoid, reduce, or delay the need for long-term care by providing timely assessments and practical, adaptive solutions. Experience working with Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG)–related major adaptations is desirable, but not essential; collaboration with surveyors, technical officers, and contractors forms part of the wider responsibilities.
As a senior member of the team, you will provide professional supervision, guidance, and mentoring to Occupational Therapists, unregistered staff, and students, supporting continuous learning and high standards of practice. Although this is primarily an Adult Social Care role, an understanding of children’s OT principles is beneficial to support smooth transitions and effective cross-service working.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about empowering others, confident in clinical decision-making, and eager to contribute to a responsive and innovative Community OT service that truly makes a difference.
Why work for us?
Joining our team means being part of a supportive and forward-thinking service where your professional development is genuinely valued. You’ll work within a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, invests in clinical training, and offers access to experienced colleagues across health, housing, and social care. We are committed to flexible working, manageable caseloads, and a culture that promotes wellbeing and work–life balance. Most importantly, you’ll have the chance to make a real, lasting difference to people’s lives across our community.
Join us and help improve wellbeing, maximise independence, and enhance quality of life for residents in our area.
