Project Support Officer (Welsh)

We are seeking to appoint a Project Support Officer tosupport the University in the successful development and deployment of the Cynllun Cynefin Project. Cynllun Cynefin is the new Welsh language/culture framework that advances our strategic aims and fulfils our University Success Measures. It will support and enhance the development of our Welsh language and bilingual offer and strengthen opportunities for all to embrace the Welsh language and culture.

Working with the Dean for the Welsh Language and Academi Gymraeg, the Project Support Officer will be responsible for supporting successful project planning, scheduling, monitoring and control.

The assignment may vary over time, and the role holder may be required to support other allocated projects should the need arise. 

The post will be expected to:

Provide comprehensive professional project support to Academi Gymraeg – the Dean for the Welsh Language, Academi Gymraeg Manager and the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Branch Officer, providing support, advice and guidance to ensure the programme delivers its objectives on time.

Working in partnership with stakeholders in shaping and delivering the project

Investigate and analyse specific issues within the Cynllun Cynefin Project, creating recommendation reports supported by advances within project management and the higher education sector.

Excellent bilingual skills in Welsh and English will be essential for this post.

The position is full-time and fixed-term for 24 months.

Salary: £33,951 - £36,636 per annum (Grade 5).
Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances
