Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant (Fully Qualified – EYFS)

Location: Coventry
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Permanent / Fixed-term

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and fully qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and nurturing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional who is committed to providing high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing within the classroom environment.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a full and relevant Early Years qualification that meets EYFS statutory requirements (Level 2 or Level 3 minimum).


  • Have proven classroom experience within an Early Years setting.


  • Hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate.


  • Have a strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.


  • Be confident supporting children across all areas of learning.


  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.


  • Be reliable, caring, patient, and enthusiastic.


    Key Responsibilities
    • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.


    • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS guidance.


    • Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.


    • Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development.


    • Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and daily routines.


    • Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and carers.


    • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times.
