Crynodeb
We looking for a Stores Person to join a well-established engineering organisation in the Christchurch area.
This is a hands-on, varied role combining supplier expediting, stock coordination, goods inwards inspection, and production support.
You will work closely with Supply Chain, Projects, and Production teams to ensure materials are delivered on time and production schedules are maintained.
Key Responsibilities for the Stores Person:
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure deliveries meet project priorities
- Coordinate with Projects, SCM, and Production on forward planning
- Manage equipment/component deliveries
- Conduct goods acceptance and quality inspections
- Carry out functional testing of parts
- Book stock into SAP
- Kit parts for production
- Delivery or Collection of goods.
Experience required for the Stores Person role:
- Technical background with knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Must have a full UK Driving Licence
- Experience working within a quality-controlled environment
- Strong planning and organisational skills with a structured, methodical approach
- SAP experience or willingness to learn
- Understanding of supply chain processes including purchase orders, progress chasing and prioritisation (desirable)
- Knowledge of quality control processes and non-conformance reporting (desirable)
- Forklift licence (desirable)
This Stores Person role will be paying a competiive salary and will be working 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
