The Role - Field Sales Executive (Thames Valley)
Joining our Reading based operation, you will manage and grow a defined B2B customer portfolio across the Thames Valley and wider M4 Corridor. This is a balanced field sales role combining account management and new business development, with clear expectations and genuine earning potential.
You will inherit an established customer base while also developing new business, with an annual new business target of circa £200k. Success comes from understanding customer requirements, delivering value-led packaging solutions and building long-term commercial partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow revenue through proactive management of existing B2B accounts and targeted new business acquisition
- Identify customer needs and present tailored packaging solutions across consumables and value-added services
- Manage the full sales cycle - prospecting, appointments, proposals, negotiation and close
- Conduct account reviews, pricing discussions and margin-led negotiations
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Accurately manage pipeline activity using Microsoft Dynamics CRM
What you will bringYou'll be a confident, commercially minded field-based B2B sales professional who thrives in a target-driven environment and enjoys managing your own territory.
Key requirements:
- 18+ months in a field-based sales role, managing existing accounts and be able to demonstrate your new business wins!
- A location within or close to the Berkshire/Oxfordshire/Uxbridge or M4 Corridor area
- A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the territory.
- Proven success in B2B sales, selling tangible products using a consultative approach.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivation, resilience, and the ability to work autonomously.
- IT proficiency, including CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
Desirable (not essential):- Experience within packaging, packaging solutions or a related B2B sector
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
