Role Overview

The Veterinary Nurse will play a vital role in supporting the clinic’s mission to deliver exceptional animal care. This full-time, on-site position involves assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, monitoring anaesthesia, handling laboratory samples, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of pets. The nurse will also be responsible for preparing animals for surgery, educating pet owners, maintaining accurate medical records, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate animal care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist veterinarians with anaesthesiology, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory samples, perform routine tests, and maintain lab equipment.
• Prepare animals for surgery and support post-operative recovery.
• Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health.
• Conduct nurse-led clinics, weight checks, and wellness monitoring.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised clinical environment.
• Support consultations, reception duties, and client communication as needed.
• Ensure accurate and detailed medical records in line with RCVS standards.
