The Role: This Graduate Teaching Assistant role involves supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and those with EHCPs. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll gain hands-on experience working 1:1 and in small groups, developing essential skills for a career in education or specialises SEN support.
Where: Longsight
Salary: £103.95-£115 per day
When: February start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored support for pupils with SEN from EYFS through to KS2
- Assisting teachers with the delivery of differentiated lessons and interventions
- Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and helping them build confidence
- Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote engagement
- Contributing to the monitoring and recording of pupil progress
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in any subject (graduates with Psychology, Education, or SEN-related degrees particularly welcome)
- Enthusiasm for working with children with additional needs and a willingness to learn
- Patience, resilience, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Desirable: Voluntary work, tutoring experience, or knowledge of Makaton/PECS
