About the Role
We are seeking a talented design engineer to join our multidisciplinary team, contributing to the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components for aerospace, automotive, and high-tech applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects from concept through production, collaborating with experts across mechanical, electronic, and manufacturing disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
• Mechanical Design & Development
• Create 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD tools (Mandatory: CATIA | Optional: SolidWorks, CREO, or similar).
• Design and detail components using metals, plastics, and ceramics in compliance with industry standards.
• Develop housings, enclosures, and assemblies for electronic and mechanical systems.
• Perform stress-strain and thermal simulations using FEA tools.
• Conduct hand calculations and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Product Lifecycle & Documentation
• Manage BOM, configuration, and engineering change processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, including manuals, reports, and maintenance instructions.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and design verification.
• Collaboration & Integration
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (electronics, software, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration.
• Engage with suppliers and stakeholders for component selection and procurement.
• Component Selection & Standards
• Select standard OEM components (bearings, seals, actuators, motors, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO) and 2D drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Experience with FEA and basic engineering calculations.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, plastics).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable Skills
• Experience designing jigs and fixtures.
• Exposure to electronics integration and enclosure design.
• Knowledge of PLM tools and change management processes.
• Hands-on experience with prototype builds and testing.
• Understanding of aerospace or automotive standards and high-reliability environments.

Tools
• 3D CAD: CATIA, SolidWorks, NX or PTC Creo.
• 2D drawings: CAD drafting tools and/or AutoCAD.
• FEA: ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran or integrated CAD FEA.
• Calculations: Excel plus MATLAB (or similar) for basic analysis.
• PLM/PDM: Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA/3DEXPERIENCE or Autodesk Vault.
• Documentation: Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
