Summary
Care Assistant - Steeple View, Stowupland
£12.83 per hour
Various hours per week; earlies, lates & alternative weekends

As an Orwell Care Assistant, you will enable our customers to maintain their dignity and independence and lead fulfilling lives. You'll play a vital role in the lives of our tenants, supporting them with everything they need to do to live well. You will work mostly alone in someone's home but will be part of a great care team for the benefit and wellbeing of all the tenants who live at the service.
In caring for our customers, your main duties will include:
- providing personal care
- administration and storage of medication
- housekeeping
- supporting people through temporary or terminal illness
- helping with eating and drinking
- light domestic duties such as bed making
- support with social, physical activities and mental stimulation such as hobbies and recreation

You will be warm and friendly and have a natural caring nature, great sense of humour and a positive energy that brings a smile to people's faces.

Steeple View is situated in the village of Stowupland, two miles east of Stowmarket, Suffolk. Stowupland and Stowmarket have a number of local amenities including doctor's surgeries, dentists, butchers, supermarkets and boutique shops.
Person Specification…
- Care Certificate, is desirable
- QCF Level 2 in Health and Social care or equivalent, is desirable
- Full driving licence, is desirable
