Academic Registry is looking to recruit a Registry Services Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop skills and experience in higher education administration.

As a central professional service, the Academic Registry plays a crucial role in supporting university life and advancing learning and teaching through its operational services and academic policy work.

About the role

Registry Services Assistants provide essential administrative and support while delivering outstanding customer service to both staff and students across the University. These positions cover the entire student lifecycle, from registration to graduation, and include responsibilities in key areas such as student records, examinations, graduation, academic standards, and departmental operations.

This role offers a diverse range of tasks, with a strong focus on records maintenance. You will be responsible for handling enquiries through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions. Given the importance of the student and course records you’ll help to maintain, accuracy and attention to detail is critical to ensuring reliable data and exceptional service delivery. Your ability to provide responsive, accurate support will also be key to success in this role.

About you

You will:
* be able to demonstrate significant experience in an administrative role.
* have the ability to work with accuracy and have excellent attention to detail.
* have excellent organisation, planning and triaging skills.
* be confident in customer facing situations and possess strong communication skills.
* be a proficient user of Microsoft 365 and other IT packages, specifically Excel and other database-like systems.
* be able to work in an agile way, adapt quickly and pivot on the job.

If you’re keen to develop a career in Higher Education within a supportive and hard-working team, we want to hear from you.

Further information

This is a full-time role, working 36.5 hours per week, for a fixed-term period of 9 months. We currently operate a hybrid working model, combining working on campus and from home.
