About the Role
As several long‑term PFI contracts come to an end, Sodexo is looking for an experienced PFI Contract Transition Manager (PFI Exit Manager) to help lead the planned and orderly handover of services, assets, and responsibilities back to our public sector partners.

This role plays a key part in making sure exits are well‑planned, compliant, and smooth, with no disruption to services. You’ll work across multiple sites and teams, coordinating activity, managing stakeholders, and keeping programmes on track during a critical transition period.

If you have strong project or programme management experience, are comfortable working in complex environments, and enjoy bringing structure to large‑scale change, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Managing and coordinating PFI exit programmes to agreed plans, timescales, and standards.
  • Turning contract requirements into clear, practical exit and handover plans.
  • Supporting the handover of services, data, and assets, ensuring everything is accurate, compliant, and well documented.
  • Working closely with public sector partners, internal teams, and external advisors to keep everyone aligned.
  • Organising inspections, reviews, and progress meetings to support successful handback.
  • Managing risks, issues, and changes, escalating where needed to protect service continuity.
  • Producing clear updates and reports so progress is visible and well governed.
  • Helping improve ways of working and sharing good practice across exit programmes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience delivering projects or programmes in complex or regulated environments.
  • A good understanding of facilities management, asset management, or operational services.
  • Ability to review contracts or agreements and turn them into clear action plans.
  • Strong organisation skills with the confidence to manage multiple workstreams at once.
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels.
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to explain complex information simply.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, or cost information is desirable.
  • A proactive, self‑motivated approach, with the ability to work independently.

(Formal project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM, or similar are desirable but not essential if you have strong practical experience.)

What You’ll Deliver

  • Well‑managed PFI exits that meet contractual, operational, and compliance requirements.
  • Clear documentation and evidence to support successful hand backs.
  • Strong coordination across teams and partners, with risks managed effectively.
  • Transparent communication and governance throughout each programme.
