Deputy Nursery Manager – Up to £41,000

Our client has a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join them and support the day-to-day leadership of the setting. The role combines time in the rooms with children and time supporting operational oversight, ensuring standards remain consistent across practice, safeguarding, and compliance. The curriculum is rooted in outdoor learning, encouraging children to explore, develop confidence, and progress at their own pace.

Before You Apply

  • This role requires recent experience in a senior nursery position a nursery setting.
  • A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years is essential.

What You’ll Need

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Recent experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Third in Charge, or Room Leader in a nursery
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
  • Confidence leading staff and making operational decisions

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Nursery Manager with daily operational oversight
  • Lead staff practice to maintain high standards in line with EYFS and Ofsted expectations
  • Spend allocated time in rooms modelling quality interactions and teaching
  • Monitor planning, safeguarding, and compliance documentation
  • Contribute to staff supervision, coaching, and performance management
  • Build professional relationships with parents and external agencies
