shoezone has an opportunity for 5 x Warehouse Operatives to join our team based in our warehouse in Leicester to cover the PM Shift. You will join us on a part time (22.5 hours), temporary basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary starting at a minimum of £19,593.75 FTE. After being with the Company for 2 years you will be on the national minimum wage for 21+ year olds regardless of age.

Hours of work:

PM Shift is 14:30 – 22:30.

The Warehouse Operative role:

Joining our team means you will contribute to the effective running of the warehouse to ensure we provide the best service to our stores and our ever growing digital business. There is a physical, manual handling element to this role.

This role is perfect for someone with or without warehouse experience. If you don’t have experience, you will receive all the training and equipment in order to succeed in the role.

Key duties and responsibilities of our Warehouse Operative:

- Picking and packing shoes using a hand-held scanner for despatch to the stores and for our digital customers
- Ensuring we have sufficient shoes in the pick face to ensure we are able to meet store and online orders
- Unloading delivery vehicles into the warehouse
- Ensuring all picked and packed shoes are loaded onto our lorries accurately and in the correct manner for delivery to the stores
- Maintaining a clear and tidy warehouse and ensure any potential hazards are taken care of safely, quickly and efficiently

What we’re looking for in our Warehouse Operative:

- A team player but also able to work independently
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
- Ability to work at a pace in order to meet the standards and targets required
- Physically fit, as this role can be active and physically demanding
- Literate
- Able to respect and adhere to our business values
