About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Supported Living Manager to lead the development and management of new Supported Living services for children and young adults, including those with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health needs.
This is a key leadership role focused on setting up new services from the ground up, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and/or CQC requirements, and creating safe, nurturing environments where young people can develop independence and thrive.
You will play a central role in shaping the service, recruiting and leading staff teams, and ensuring high standards of care and support are delivered at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Service Setup & Development
• Lead the setup and registration of new Supported Living services
• Develop policies, procedures, and operational systems
• Prepare services for Ofsted and/or CQC registration and inspections
• Ensure services meet all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
• Support service growth and development
Leadership & Staff Management
• Recruit, train, and manage Support Workers and Senior Support Workers
• Provide leadership, supervision, and ongoing support to staff
• Manage rotas, staffing levels, and workforce planning
• Promote a positive, professional, and supportive team culture
Service Delivery & Quality
• Ensure delivery of safe, person-centred support tailored to each young person
• Develop and oversee care and support plans
• Monitor service quality and implement continuous improvements
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed
Stakeholder Management
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and commissioners
• Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies
• Support young people transitioning into independent living

Essential Requirements
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role within supported living, residential care, or children’s services
• Experience supporting children or young adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, or Mental Health needs
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory requirements (Ofsted and/or CQC)
• Experience in service setup, mobilisation, or development (highly desirable)
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to manage teams and service operations effectively
• Right to work in the UK

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children or Adult Care) or working towards
• Experience setting up new services
• Experience working with local authorities and commissioners
• Full UK driving licence
