HLTA – Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Local primary/ secondary & SEND schools across the area
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long‑term, potential to go permanent
Hours: Full‑time, Monday–Friday, term‑time only
We are recruiting HLTAs to support teaching and learning across a range of classes.
This role is ideal for experienced support staff who can lead small groups, cover lessons, and provide high‑quality classroom support.
Role Responsibilities:
-Deliver planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
-Lead small group and 1:1 interventions
-Support pupils with learning, behaviour and engagement
-Work closely with teachers and support staff
-Help create a positive, structured learning environment
Requirements:
-HLTA qualification or proven experience covering lessons
-Strong communication and behaviour management skills
-Ability to lead learning confidently
-Reliability, professionalism and flexibility
-Experience in primary, secondary or SEND settings welcomed
