Job title: Female Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton WV6
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 24-year-old female who is a full-time wheelchair user living in the Whitmore Reans area of Wolverhampton who is looking to recruit a female Personal Assistant to provide support for 6 hours per week for social and community support.
Our client is independent, able to make their own decisions and communicate clearly. Although they have a physical disability and use a wheelchair, (manual wheelchair) they lead an active lifestyle and enjoy getting out of the house regularly. Our client enjoys going to the gym, shopping, coffee trips, eating out, cinema and social activities. They need to be pushed around and has a disability van suitable for the wheelchair and for further distances.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Support to access the community (shopping, gym, coffee, cinema and eating out)
Support to attend appointments when required
Assistance with using public transport when travelling further distances.
Personal care: Occasional support with personal care when out in the community.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:

Specific requirements: Someone with a driver’s licence as client has a disability van the PA can drive.
Other: Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours of work: 6 hours per week – To be discussed with employer
Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour

Previous care experience preferred but not essential
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
