We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mobile Plumber to deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across KAN Buildings within the Swindon, Reading and Oxford region.​

This mobile role offers varied daily work, ranging from single-task visits to full-day assignments on a single site, supporting a wide range of plumbing systems and building fabric tasks.

Job Description

We are looking for a professional who brings strong technical knowledge, excellent fault-finding ability, and the confidence to work independently while delivering exceptional service to our client.

This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, compliant and efficient building operations across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs and testing across plumbing systems and equipment.

Diagnose system issues, dismantle devices, replace defective parts, and test equipment to manufacturer specifications.

Maintain and repair complex systems including compressors, water and drainage systems, sprinkler systems and steam-cleaning devices.

Carry out leak detection, soldering/brazing, jointing, installation and replacement of plumbing components.

Install, modify and repair pipework systems, ensuring correct routing, levelling and compliance with local codes.

Interpret building plans and blueprints to plan and execute plumbing work effectively.

Support wider building fabric and mechanical tasks as required.

Monitor and control contractors on site, including permit-to-work issuing and quality checks.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Strong installation and fault-finding skills, particularly for reactive tasks.

Fully qualified in plumbing with NVQ or City & Guilds in plumbing, heating or mechanical systems.

Experience working in FM or maintenance environments is desirable (but not essential).

G3 Unvented qualification preferred, or willingness to complete.

Confident handling a broad range of tasks including building fabric works.

Ability to prioritise workload, manage time efficiently and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.

Full UK driving licence (required for travel between sites).
