Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse to join our Childrens Community Nursing Service. We have positions at Hannah House (a 24-hr respite facility) and within our Continuing Care & Health Short Breaks team where we provide respite in the family home. Our service specialises in caring for children and young people with multiple complex health needs & learning disabilities. We work 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year and therefore you will normally work a mix of days, nights, weekends and bank holidays although we do support applications for flexible working when we can. Candidates must be a registered nurse and have previous clinical experience of working with children or adults with complex health or additional needs. You will receive a full package of training with preceptorship until you are competent and confident to work alone. We welcome newly qualified nurse applicants. The role will involve some travel so access to transport with business insurance cover will be required. We are looking for individuals who are caring, fun, resilient and motivated to work alongside a specialist team of professionals. You will be responsible for providing clinical care either at Hannah House or within the family home. The work includes planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating care for children with a wide range of complex and life limiting illnesses including children who are tracheostomy ventilated and who receive parenteral nutrition. The role will involve co-ordinating the shift/team as well as teaching and supporting other members of the team Candidates will be problem solvers, be innovative, have excellent communication skills, can work autonomously and be able to prioritise, organise and delegate work across the team.
