The Environment Agency are fully committed to having an inclusive workforce to reflect the communities we serve. We don't just talk about diversity; we seek it, embrace it, and live it, for the benefit of our staff, our communities, and our environment.
Do you have the passion to drive new data and evidence insights in the context of Natural Capital? We have two Evidence Advisor opportunities within the Natural Capital and Ecosystems Assessment (NCEA) programme. Supported by a workstream lead the roles will focus on delineating environmental systems; collation of best data and evidence to represent the environmental factors; and synthesising and interpreting data and evidence to deliver high quality evidence insights to support policy teams and environment planners. The contracts are fixed term up to end of March 2028.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who work well individually and as part of a team. You will have knowledge of environmental systems (ideally including pressures, asset condition, and Natural Capital Ecosystem Services and Benefits). You will have strong experience in collating, analysing and synthesising data/evidence to fit customer requirements. Skill with GIS are advantageous. You will be adept at organising and prioritising tasks with a proven record of delivering to a high standard. You will be able to network effectively to source best data/evidence and secure expert input and quality assurance.
You will work closely with others in the Environmental Systems workstream and across the NCEA program, including New Monitoring Networks, Data Analysis and Natural Capital. The posts are a great opportunity for anyone who wishes to develop wide experience in delivery of high quality and practical science and evidence to support a range of business interests.
