Our Operations Team are the central point between the Front Office, Risk & Compliance and the Customer. The team are responsible for the oversight of governance of our Third-Party Administrators such as Northern Trust and Bloomberg.
We’re now looking for a Performance Analyst to support us with oversight and governance of these service providers.
The Performance Measurement function will provide essential business support through the delivery of accurate and timely returns, attribution, and bespoke reporting.
Reporting to the Head of Operations you’ll be responsible for daily activities to ensure the oversight and governance of fund performance and ensure accuracy of Custodians performance, attribution and reporting.
The role – what you’ll be doing
As a Performance Analyst your role is hugely important and will include:
Support the development of the performance function within the operations team operational oversight functions
Deliver in-depth performance and attribution analysis across a broad range of asset types (equity, fixed income, and alternatives).
Create and maintain client-facing reports, ensuring high quality and accuracy.
Manage and validate performance data, ensuring integrity across systems and dashboards.
Work closely with portfolio managers and portfolio risk to deliver timely insights.
Provide specialist support and resilience to the wider investment operations regarding performance functionality.
Assist the oversight of monthly Performance KPIs from Third Party Administrator to monitor adherence to required targets and standards.
Address queries on fund/benchmark returns, asset returns, or attribution results, and support fund managers and CRM team.
Support the development and knowledge of the wider operations team to take on day to day management of new processes and controls
Identify risks in own area of responsibility, recognise risks in all areas of the business and notify any such risks to your People Manager and the Operational Risk Manager
Identify and execute continuous process improvement.
Collaborate with various teams on strategic initiatives across the business.
Deputise for Head of Performance and Investment Reporting when required.
About you - and the value you’ll bring to our team
You will have relevant performance measurement and analytics experience, preferably from an asset management environment. This will include analysis across several asset types (equity, fixed income and alternatives).
You will have excellent analytical and communications skills and be confident to present complex data clearly.
You will have comprehensive FCA knowledge and have performance attribution analysis skills across a wide range of asset types and markets plus the ability to create manual analysis if required.
You have experience of working in an analytical role and will have strong problem-solving skills with an ability to be reactive whilst also proactively looking for improvements in the task load.
You can demonstrate planning, organisation, time and data management and administrative capabilities and have good communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical matters in an easily digestible format to the wider organisation and our customers.
You will be a pro-active, self-motivated team player with the ability to manage an interesting and variable workload and be willing to assist and support other team members when required.
