Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
(Additional hours as required in line with management responsibilities and on-call)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Home Manager to lead Towy Castle Care Home. This is a leadership role with full responsibility for the operational, clinical and regulatory performance of the home.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring full compliance with CIW regulations, RISCA and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Quality Assurance
Maintain outstanding standards of residential care and resident well-being
Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative culture among staff and residents
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure full compliance with CIW regulations, RISCA and inspection standards
Maintain strong governance, audits and accurate record keeping systems
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor and develop a skilled, diverse care team
Manage recruitment, staffing levels and professional development initiatives
Operational Management
Oversee daily operations, including health and safety, nutrition, and environment
Manage budgets, supplies and resources to ensure effective day-to-day operation
Resident & Family Engagement
Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families
Manage the admission process and conduct thorough person-centred assessments
External Collaboration
Work closely with healthcare professionals and visiting medical teams
Promote the home positively and uphold a professional company image
About You
✔ Level 5 Leadership & Management of Health and Social Care (Essential)
✔ Registered with Social Care Wales (or eligible for registration)
✔ Previous Care Home Manager experience (residential or nursing)
✔ Strong knowledge of CIW regulations and RISCA
✔ Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team
✔ Compassionate, resident-focused approach
✔ Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
