Senior Care Assistant – Domiciliary Care
Location: Community-based (domiciliary care)
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Patterns: mixture of 07:00–15:00 and 15:00–22:00
Rota: Rolling rota including weekends
Additional Requirement: Participation in an on-call rota

We are looking for an experienced and confident Senior Care Assistant to join our domiciliary care team. This is a leadership role combining hands-on care with supervisory responsibilities, supporting individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes.

The Role
As a Senior Carer, you will provide direct care while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering high-quality, person-centred care in service users’ own homes
Supporting daily living tasks while promoting independence and choice
Acting as a role model and mentor to junior care staff
Carrying out spot checks, observations, and quality assurance visits
Contributing to care planning, reviews, and risk assessments
Acting as a point of contact for service users, families, healthcare professionals, and management
Responding calmly and professionally to changing care needs
Supporting safe, effective care delivery in line with regulatory standards
Participating in the on-call rota as required
What We’re Looking For
✔ NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)
✔ Previous experience working in domiciliary care (essential)
✔ Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
✔ Confident decision-making and leadership skills
✔ Excellent communication and organisational abilities
✔ Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
✔ Flexible to work early and late shifts on a rota basis
